Duelist is a Small Combat Experiment (Which I hope to extend to full project)

"What if mechanics on Realtime Action games are available for everyone (including ones without good reaction)." was the initial ideation point.

The game experiments with cancelling action and varying reaction time to strategically defeat your enemies and achieve victory!

Hello, I played about 3 games and the second and third time I enjoyed it. For the first it wasn't as enjoyable, because it takes a bit to get into understanding-wise (what enemies do, why does the orange guy attack second time and my own character's mechanics).

So I think for main feedback would be mostly clarifying the mechanics (there's hidden stuff like movement change, attack pattern change after an attack). I think a tutorial would be nice, but I know it's a pain to implement ^^.

I like the game and it's quite an interesting concept. Will be looking forward to updates to replay.

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! It is very helpful.

What you say makes sense! I was experimenting/testing how much of the complexity is "figure-out"-able haha.. and was wondering if the discovery and learning process feels rewarding or not!

However, it is very clear there's a clear initial hump issue. So, I will work on some sort of tutorial or learn stages!
